Founder & Managing Director, Mahlatse is the visionary behind Green Route Hemp Industries, with over 6 years of leadership in building South Africa’s first integrated Proudly SA hemp-based textiles business. With a strong foundation in wind farm construction, GIS, DBMS, environmental sciences and sustainability, Mahlatse continues to bring unique insights into the role industrial hemp can play in reshaping agriculture, industrial, construction and textile markets. His prior experience as an Environmental Officer on various large-scale wind farm construction projects has sharpened his ability to integrate ecological awareness with infrastructure-scale execution. He holds a Master’s Degree in Geography & Environmental Studies from Stellenbosch University. Mahlatse leads GRHI’s business administration, value chain development strategy, stakeholder engagement and regulatory interface, positioning the company as a pioneer in South Africa’s sustainable fibre economy.
