Thulani Masebenza
Thulani Masebenza is one of the co-founders of Bloo Money, which was inspired after experiencing the pains of invoicing between businesses and freelancers firsthand. What began as an app to ensure freelancers get paid on time evolved into an innovative platform helping creative businesses manage every freelancer, invoice and payment in one place without needing spreadsheets. Thulani brings experience as a former Strategy Consultant at EY. He also co-founded Young Aspiring Thinkers, an NPO impacting 5,000+ learners through funded projects with Oracle, BCG, Trevor Noah Foundation, and Cornell University. There, he witnessed the need to simplify invoicing for their growing network of youth facilitators. Since inception he has led Bloo Money to work with 400+ users on the app with clients such as Business & Arts South Africa and Mi Casa Music, closing funding from the Multichoice Innovation Fund, being recognised on the M&G 200 Young South Africans list in the Entrepreneurship category and winning the Most Innovative Startup award at Converge Africa 2025.
