Beauty Ngxongo, a master weaver from Hlabisa in northern KwaZulu-Natal, is internationally recognised for her intricate work using ilala palm and natural dyes. Her practice helped elevate traditional Zulu weaving from everyday utility into globally recognised contemporary craft. Her work is held in major international collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Smithsonian Institution.
